• No Third-Party Services: No data is shared with third-party services or advertisers

4. Data Collection (What We Collect)

FlashBuy collects minimal data, all stored locally on your device:

• Extension Settings: Payment mode preferences, order quantity, sound preferences, dark mode setting
• Auto-Refresh Settings: Your chosen refresh interval for stock monitoring
• Saved Payment Cards: If you choose to save card details, they are encrypted and stored locally using Chrome's secure storage
• Conditional Buy Preferences: Maximum price limits you set
• Feature Toggles: Settings for Supercoins, GST invoice, etc.
• Product URLs: Only the URL is sent to dealstream-api.vercel.app for affiliate link generation (not personal information)

4a. Data Storage

Where Your Data is Stored: All data collected by FlashBuy is stored exclusively in your local browser storage using Chrome's Storage API. We do not operate any backend servers or databases where your data is retained. Your data never leaves your device except:

• Product URLs sent to dealstream-api.vercel.app for affiliate link conversion (no personal data included)

How Long Your Data is Stored: Data is stored indefinitely until you remove the extension or manually clear your browser data. There is no automatic deletion process.

4b. Data Sharing and Third Parties

Who We Share Your Data With: We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties. The only exception is:

• dealstream-api.vercel.app: We send product URLs to this service for affiliate link generation. This service does not receive any personal information about you.
• E-commerce Websites: When you interact with Flipkart, Amazon, Myntra, or other platforms through FlashBuy, those platforms receive data according to their own privacy policies (not FlashBuy).

No Data Sharing with Advertisers or Analytics: We do not share, sell, or transfer any data to advertisers, analytics companies, or marketing partners.

How We Handle Your Data:

• All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's Storage API
• Sensitive data (payment card information) is encrypted using Chrome's built-in security features
• Data is never transmitted to our servers or external storage systems
• We do not perform any automated decision-making or profiling based on your data

Data Retention: Since we don't collect or store data on our servers, there's no retention policy for data on our end. You control your data entirely—it remains on your device until you delete it.

5. Permissions Explained

FlashBuy requests the following Chrome permissions:

• storage: To save your settings and preferences locally
• host_permissions: To access e-commerce websites (Flipkart, Amazon, etc.) and enable auto-checkout features

These permissions are used solely for the extension's core functionality and not for data collection.

6. Affiliate Links

FlashBuy may convert product URLs to affiliate links through an external API (dealstream-api.vercel.app). This service receives only the product URL (not your personal information) to generate affiliate links. This is how we support the development of FlashBuy. You can opt out by not using the extension.

7. Third-Party Websites

FlashBuy interacts with third-party e-commerce websites (Flipkart, Amazon, Myntra, etc.) on your behalf. Your interactions with these websites are governed by their respective privacy policies. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

8. Data Security

Security Measures: Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Payment card information is encrypted using Chrome's built-in encryption
• No data is transmitted to external servers (except product URLs to dealstream-api.vercel.app)
• You maintain full control over your data
• Data is protected by your browser's security measures and your device's operating system
• We do not use cookies or other tracking technologies for profiling or advertising

Limitations: While we implement reasonable security measures, no system is 100% secure. Local storage security depends on your device's security and your browser's integrity.

• Access Your Data: You can view all data stored by FlashBuy by checking your browser's local storage (DevTools)
• Delete Your Data: You can delete all data by uninstalling the extension or clearing your browser's local storage

• Control Permissions: You can modify or revoke extension permissions at any time in Chrome settings

No Right to Be Forgotten Requests: Since we don't store your data on our servers, there's nothing to delete on our end. All your data is under your control locally.

FlashBuy is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are under 13, please do not use this extension.
